First light
Coffee on the balcony
Puri faces east, so sunrise happens over the water. Front sea-facing rooms get it without leaving bed; the beach is a short walk if you would rather be on the sand.
Coastal charm meets cultural comfort
Puri faces east, so the sun comes up out of the water here. Our stretch of beach at Baliapanda is the quiet end of a very long coast — wide enough to walk at dawn, close enough to hear from the terrace. Between the temple town and the sea, the hotel keeps the day simple: swim, eat, sleep, repeat.
Wake to panoramic sea views and private balconies. As evening comes, unwind at Sundowner while the ocean paints the sky, then return to rooms crafted for calm on the scenic Marine Drive.

From inside the rooms
Beds made up with towels folded into swans, a chair drawn up to the window, the lounge in the Suite. These are the hotel's own photographs, taken in the rooms you would be staying in — not renders.
Dine by the beach
The multi-cuisine restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in a relaxed, refined room. Upstairs, Sundowner pairs snacks and beverages with golden-hour light over the Bay of Bengal.
From the kitchen
Odia favourites alongside north Indian staples and a short continental list, served in the dining room or up on the terrace.
How a stay runs
Nothing here needs planning the night before. This is the shape most guests settle into within a day.
First light
Puri faces east, so sunrise happens over the water. Front sea-facing rooms get it without leaving bed; the beach is a short walk if you would rather be on the sand.
Midday
Jagannath Temple is about 3 km away and the craft villages make an easy half day. The alternative — a lounger, the pool of shade under the terrace, lunch when you feel like it — is equally legitimate.
Golden hour
The terrace catches the last of the colour reflected off the sea. Snacks and cold drinks first, then down to the restaurant for dinner whenever the table is set.
Signature experiences
Everything here is arranged through the front desk or the travel desk — no need to plan it before you arrive.
Tea, a chair and the first light on the water. Front sea-facing rooms see it without getting up.
The terrace catches the last hour of light — snacks, beverages and a long view north along the coast.
About 3 km away. The desk arranges transport and advises on the quieter darshan windows.
Roughly an hour south along Marine Drive — Sun Temple, Chandrabhaga beach and the casuarina woods at Balukhand.
Pattachitra painters at Raghurajpur and the appliqué workshops of Pipili, both easy half-day drives.
Keep the routine going indoors, or let the children burn off the morning before the beach.

Facilities tailored for you
A working hotel, not a lobby with rooms attached: a gym, a lobby that is actually used, a hall that gets set three different ways in a week.
Sun, sand & serenity
A 1,300 sq. ft. banquet hall for up to 90 guests, coastal surroundings, and a MICE desk that handles the logistics — corporate conferences, anniversaries and celebrations that run seamlessly.
The hotel, frame by frame
From the air, from the terrace, from the arrival road. Open any frame for the full-size view — arrow keys and swipe work inside the viewer.
Beyond the hotel
Puri rewards people who leave the sand for an afternoon. Each of these is a comfortable drive from the hotel.
One of the four holiest Hindu pilgrimage sites — a living temple whose rituals shape the town.
A 13th-century chariot in stone, a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the coast road.
Asia's largest brackish lagoon — dolphins, migratory birds and a horizon of water.
Every house a studio: Pattachitra scrolls, palm-leaf etching and Gotipua dance.
Getting here
New Marine Drive Road runs along the coast between the town and the lighthouse. Baliapanda, where we sit, is the residential end of the beach — quieter, but still a short drive from the temple and the railway station.

Seasons
Puri is a year-round town, but the sea, the heat and the crowds change completely between these three windows.
October to February
Cool mornings, warm noons, a lively but manageable town. Book a sea-facing room for this window if you want to use the balcony properly; it is also the season the terrace fills up first.
March to June
Heat out of the way by ten in the morning, sea breeze after. The lowest rates of the year, quiet beaches at both ends of the day, and the hotel gym and restaurant for the middle hours.
July to September
Ratha Jatra falls in this season and stops the whole town. Accept wet afternoons and you get a coast with nobody on it, a rough and spectacular sea, and the cheapest rooms of the year.

Two ways to start
A 1,300 sq. ft. hall that seats 90, a MICE desk that answers on a dedicated line, and the sea outside the door for the photographs.
Plan an event
Temple, beach, Konark and a craft village, spaced so that nothing feels like a schedule. Start with the three-day plan and cut what you do not fancy.

Longer reads on the crafts, light and seasons of Puri — the kind of detail a good front desk tells you over the counter.

Puri faces east, so sunsets are a river-and-lagoon affair. Four spots worth the drive, with timings.
